Farallone Yacht Sales - Ocean Series | 425

All-new design takes the legendary 42 to a new level of performance, sophistication, and 5 Series style

Catalina is highly regarded for building innovative, awarding-winning, “sailboats built for sailors,” and the three-cabin 425 continues that tradition with completely modern lines and many well-thought out details. With her sleek, low profile cabin structure and flush deck hatches, the hull has a 9-degree bow that is nearly plumb but angled forward enough to keep the foredeck dry under a beat, and keep the anchor from nicking the gelcoat when hoisting on deck. The cockpit is large and ergonomically designed, with twin helms on Edson Performance Pedestals with pre-stretched cables, and bench seats long enough to stretch out on; the starboard seat converts to a double berth or deck lounge. Belowdecks, the 3-cabin layout offers two heads and an aft galley that is safe and convenient under way. The port aft double cabin is easily convertible to storage with a large gull wing hatch on the deck above for easy access. Forward, there is a centerline double berth with adjusting head rest that is one of the largest berths on a cruising boat today. With her long waterline and excellent performance ratios, and meeting the highest ABYC and IMI standards to earn the Category A unlimited offshore rating, the 425 is likely to be one of Catalina’s best performance cruisers.
